COOK ISLANDS - Country Implementation Plan 2023-2024 Review Report

Between 2023 and 2024, 14 UN agencies provided development support to the Cook Islands, delivering 62 interventions across key priority areas under the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework. Of the USD 3.2 million available for implementation, approximately USD 1.1 million was utilized. Despite the slow start, important progress was made, including the development of a Disability-Inclusive Training Curriculum and Online Platform, advancement of the National Social Protection Framework, strengthening of disaster preparedness, and support for inclusive education and public health services. The review highlights the importance of improving disbursement timelines, strengthening national capacity, and accelerating implementation to fully realize the impact of UN support by the end of the CIP period.
