Samoa UNCT Highlights Report 2023
The United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Samoa includes 29 UN entities, with 15 physically present and others supporting remotely.
Led by the UN Resident Coordinator (UN RC), the UNCT collaborates with the Government of Samoa through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). The UN Samoa Multi-Country Office also serves the Cook Islands, Niue, and Tokelau.
The Pacific Regional UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023-2027 (UNSDCF) guides the UN's efforts, operationalized in Samoa through a Country Implementation Plan signed by the Prime Minister and the UN RC. The UNCT's support aligns with global and national priorities, emphasizing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
This report highlights UNCT's key achievements in their development support for Samoa in 2023, showcasing collaborative partnerships with the Government, civil society organisations, the private sector, and regional organisations.
